Top Areas to Maintain and Improve

Mayor Gerry Friedel presents at 2026 State of the Town

Roadwork

Historically we have budgeted somewhere between $2- $3 million in road work annually. Recently, 2024 there was $7 million in road work completed and 2025 we are on track to complete $10 million in road work. Although we may not be able to continue at this level, I will continue to make road work a priority to address the backlog.

Lake Liner Replacement

Before I was elected to the Town Council, we had no money saved for the replacement of the lake liner. Now we have over $6 million saved. It is anticipated that the liner will need to be replaced in 5-7 years, at a cost estimated to be $15 million.

Public Safety

A visibility initiative and community policing efforts have resulted in a dramatic increase in interactions, from 6k in 2024 to over 16k 2025.

Local Ordinances

5G is in process and we realize this in important to maintain property values and the look and appeal of the town. With the increase in E-bikes in town, we are currently drafting ordinances to deal with this new mode of transportation for the safety of all residents and riders alike.

Complete Development & Enhancements

We will be looking at all options to complete the development of our Avenue of the Fountains and downtown district.
